2,500 workers from County Wexford are now commuting daily to Dublin to work.
That's according to the latest commuting figures from the CSO. A further 1,150 from County Wexford have a daily commute to Waterford. According to the latest figures 60% of the Wexford workforce now spend an average of 30 minutes in their cars for each commute. This is at a time where the last remaining rail service for the county outside of Gorey is under threat. Barry Kenny from Iarnrod Eireann says people are going to have to look more at rail and bus transport.
