The government has been urged to further cap how much landlords can increase rent by.
It's after the government extended rent pressure zones to 19 extra areas this morning. Areas in the South East included in the increase are Gorey, Arklow and parts of Kilkenny and Waterford cities. It caps the rent increases in those areas to 4 per cent a year. But Labour leader and Wexford TD Brendan Howlin thinks that's still too high.
