Revenue Officers at Rosslare Europort seized approximately 60,000 cigarettes after a search yesterday.
Two cars were stopped and searched as they disembarked a ferry from Cherbourg. A Lithuanian man in his 30s, currently resident in Ireland, was questioned and his vehicle was seized. It's believed the cigarettes have a retail value of over €32,500. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
