Eight Gardai have been suspended in the Munster region over allegations of corruption.
They were suspended yesterday as a result of an ongoing investigation focused on corruption in public office. The probe, which is being led by Special Crime Operations, saw a number of garda stations searched last October and mobile phones and documents seized.
