A 21 year-old man remains in police custody in London this morning following the death of a County Wexford man over the weekend. Michael Hunt died on Saturday after being found in a skip with serious injuries. The arrest of a 21 year-old man in relation to Michael Hunt's death was made yesterday afternoon led by officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command. The Kilmore Quay native was beaten and dumped in a rubbish skip in an alleyway in South Norwood in London on Saturday morning. He was found by a shop keeper and rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries. The 37 year-old was less than a mile from his home having left Ireland 6 years ago to find work. Detective Chief Inspector Diane Tudway said Mr. Hunt was well-known in the local community. She says they believe that Mr. Hunt was not the victim of a stranger or random attack, but that their inquiries are continuing.
