Affordable Housing Information Event Held at Enniscorthy Castle for 'Cnoc Na Gréine' Development

An affordable housing information event for the new ‘Cnoc Na Gréine’ development was officially launched on December 16th, 2025, at Enniscorthy Castle. The event, attended by Cathaoirleach of Enniscorthy Municipal District, Cllr. Barbara Ann Murphy, alongside other local representatives, provided essential information to prospective homeowners about the upcoming affordable housing scheme. The ‘Cnoc Na Gréine’ development, the second affordable housing project in Enniscorthy this year, will offer 16 A-rated homes for sale. These homes are part of a partnership project between Wexford County Council and Anthony Neville Homes. The homes will be available through the Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme, with prices starting from €199,000. The application portal for eligible buyers will open on January 21st, 2026, at 12pm. Cllr. Murphy spoke at the event, stating, “Everyone’s home is their castle, and where better to host tonight’s event than Enniscorthy Castle, a place that has been both a fortress and a home.” She highlighted the importance of affordability in housing policy, emphasizing that Wexford County Council is committed to delivering high-quality, affordable homes across the county. Prospective buyers were able to speak directly with representatives from the approved mortgage teams, who provided guidance on the application process and funding options, including the Government's Help to Buy Scheme. An additional online information webinar will be held on January 8th, 2026. Those interested in attending can RSVP by emailing rsvp@wexfordcoco.ie .
