Almost 500 new jobs announced

490 new jobs have been announced this morning. The majority, 360, are being created by Applegreen which is opening 6 new motorway service stations. 80 positions are set to come on stream in Waterford, as Irish e-cigarette company "Healthier Smoker" launches a new facility at Kilbarry. And Carphone Warehouse is hiring 50 new staff as it launches its own mobile network. The first of the Applegreen facilities is being officially opened on the M11 in Wicklow today.
