New figures from the HSE show that nearly a quarter of all medical card holders are on anti-depressants.
400 thousand people were prescribed medications for depression last year - up 12% on 2011 figures. The figures have been released to Fianna Fáil's Mental Health spokesperson Enniscorthy TD James Browne. He says they indicate the poor state of our mental health services.
