Alton towers owner to be prosecuted over rollercoaster accident
The owner of Alton Towers in the UK is going to be prosecuted for breaching health and safety law after a rollercoaster crash, which led to two women having their legs amputated. The Health and Safety Executive says the accident on the Smiler ride last June had "life changing consequences" for the five people injured. In November, Merlin Entertainments said it was caused by human error.
