Banville honoured with french award
Wexford author John Banvillie has received another literary award. Last night at the French Embassy in Dublin he was named a chevalier or Knight of the French. The Order of Arts and Letters award is given by the French Ministery of Culture to recognise writers and artists for the promotion and awareness of French culture and heritage. Almost all of John Banvilles novels have been translated into French.
