Brooklyn to get spin-off tv series

Brooklyn is set for the small screen. The movie, based on Enniscorthy author Colm Toibin's novel, is to be made into a TV show according to film industry publication "Screen Daily". They report that the Oscar nominated movie's producers are developing a series which would focus on the boarding house where Saoirse Ronan's character Eilis lived. However it's not expected that the Carlow actress will be involved in the project. It's reported work will start on the project after Brooklyn is released on DVD.
