A new CCTV system for Bunclody is set to be operational this side of Christmas.
An update at this week's Enniscorthy Municipal District heard the ESB has now connected power to all the revelant power connections, allowing the project to move to its final phase.
A report from the District Manager Claire Lawless says the CCTV contractor is "ready to proceed and will commence installation once confirmation is received that power is available at all locations."
Subject to no further delays, the council hope to see the cameras up and running in the next four to five weeks.
The scheme has long been championed by local councillor Barbara Anne Murphy and the council says the cameras will provide a deterrent for antisocial behaviour and improve public safety.
22 cameras were installed in Enniscorthy over the summer and the system there went live in July with support from local Gardai.
Mobile CCTV cameras are also set to be established at bring banks and known dumping locations in a bid to help prosecute those who don't dispose of their rubbish correctly.
No updated timeline has been given for this project despite council officials saying in January the scheme would be in situ within a number of weeks.
That report was funded by the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme.
