Irish consumers are being encouraged to shop local this Christmas. The latest Retail Ireland monitor reveals that sales have dropped in the last quarter - as more people head online and up north looking for bargains following Brexit. It also shows that retailers have reduced their prices by an average of nearly 3 per cent in an effort to compete.
