Three small children are being treated in hospital for burn injuries after an explosion at their home in West Cork.
The 5 month-old twin babies and an 18 month old toddler were airlifted to Cork University Hospital last night. Gardaí and paramedics were among the first on the scene before the Coast Guard's Rescue helicopter was tasked. It's understood they suffered burn injuries after a petrol canister exploded at their home at Drinagh around 6.30pm The children's injuries have been described as serious but not life threatening.
