Co. wexford man pleads guilty to dangerous driving causing death of his wife
A New Ross man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of his wife. The case came before a sitting of Wexford Circuit Criminal Court yesterday. 60 year-old Paddy Doran of Chambersland Close, New Ross was over the drink driving limit when his car crashed, causing the death of his wife. 63 year-old Ellen Doran died when the car, driven by her husband, hit a wall at Harvey Place, New Ross on April 19th 2014. Wexford Circuit Criminal Court heard that the defendant had 80 mls of alcohol per 100 mls of blood in his sytem at the time of the accident. Current drink driving rules allow 50 mls. Judge Barry Hickson remanded Paddy Doran on continuing bail to the next sitting of the court.
