There are conflicting accounts about whether strike action at Caredoc services has ended. Work stoppages over a pay dispute at the service which covers over a dozen counties have been threatened over Christmas. Last night the Health Minister and Caredoc announced the dispute had been resolved. However the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation responded, saying unions have NOT received a formal offer from the company so the dispute is not over. It says it will await the details of discussions between the HSE and Caredoc that the unions, the INMO and SIPTU, were not party to.
