Families in Curracloe are breathing a sigh of relief after a planned power outage for this Friday has been cancelled.
The outage had been scheduled as children in the parish prepare to celebrate their Confirmation, with many families concerned the ceremony and celebrations could be disrupted.
Local councillor Robbie Staples contacted the ESB about the issue, and the planned works have now been postponed.
Speaking to South East Radio News in the past hour, Councillor Staples says the decision means families can now enjoy the special day without disruption.
