Dalata acquires second wexford hotel
The country's biggest hotel group has acquired its second Wexford hotel. Dalata has purchased the Maldron Hotel at the Barntown roundabout. The three star Maldron hotel has been bought for a 3.53 million euro cash deal. Dalata has been operating the hotel for the past seven years under the terms of a 33 year lease and it's purchase of it is expected to be complerted in the coming month. Dalata has been on a hotel purchasing spree of late and last month finalised a deal to purchase Whites Hotel in Wexford town. The company now owns twenty seven hotels and will rebrand thirteen of them with its new Clayton brand while the remaining fourteen will retain the Maldron name. Wexford's Maldron has just had a complete refurbishment and has 108 bedrooms and a leisure centre.
