Wexford Local Development has announced €500,000 will be made available for niche tourism projects this year.
It's part of their Leader Programme which aims to bring more tourists to the county. Wexford has the 5th highest number of domestic tourists in Ireland and is part of the Ancient East campaign from Failte Ireland. It's hoped the new funding will help increase tourism in the county which WLD say will "revitilise local economies".
