Eight people have been rescued off the coast of County Sligo. The alarm was raised shortly after 11 o'clock this morning when their boat capsized off Aughris Head near Enniscrone. An RNLI lifeboat, which was conducting training in the area, went to their rescue. One person was winched by the Rescue 118 Coastguard helicopter and flown to Sligo University Hospital. The others were brought to Aughris Pier. One other person also received medical treatment.
