Writer Anthony Cronin has died.
The Enniscorthy-born 88-year-old will be remembered for his work as a poet, critic and Irish Times Columnist. He also served as an arts adviser to former Taoiseach Charlie Haughey, persuading him to set up Aosdána to recognise artists' achievements.
