Fears for residents after tower blaze in london

The number of fatalities from the massive tower blaze in London is still unknown - as searches continue for people trapped inside.

The London Fire brigade has confirmed that around 50 people have been taken to hospital, after the 24-story building went up in flames in the early hours of this morning. Earlier eyewitnesses said they'd seen people tying bed sheets together to reach the ground and others throwing themselves from windows to escape the flames.
