Enniscorthy is going to host a special energy information event later this month.
The Wexford Energy Expo will bring together experts businesses and local organisations for a day packed with practical advice and inspiration.
The event will run from 10:30am to 4pm on Thursday 22nd of October at the Astro Active Centre in Bellefield.
The setting of the function is significant given Enniscorthy's previous issues when it comes to air quality.
Sandra Martin is the council's Community Climate Action Officer and says attendees can see a special report on the good work being done in that area:
"They would have stats showing pockets where people can see better quality air and the areas that need improvement.
"It's really good to be able to see the visual effects of when you're breathing clean air versus when you have all these pollutants and what they're actually doing.
"There's a biodiversity knock on effect but also what it's doing to ourselves personally, even within our home because it's not just when we're out walking in the town, going about our daily lives."
Wexford residents can get advice on saving money on their energy bills at the event.
Visitors will have the opportunity to talk directly to people working across energy, retrofit, electric vehicles, and related services.
Admission to the event is free but pre-registration through Wexford County Council's climate action email address is advised.
Ms Martin says details on how you can reduce your energy costs will be available on the day:
"People can book a 15 minute slot with the SEEA. the South East Energy Authority and they can bring their home energy bills and details of their home and they'll be able to tell them where to start and what measures to implement.
"It's impartial and free advice with no obligation to do any works but it's good to empower people so they know themselves what they should do."
Potential EV owners can also have their questions answered by experts during the day.
Drivers can hear the pros and cons of electric vehicles while also getting information on how else they can cut down their carbon footprint.
Ms Martin says it's always good to explore your options:
"There will be the SEAI and DoneDeal cars will be there along with some car owners giving their own personal experience of owning and running different sized vehicles from hybrids to fully EVs."
