French teacher stabbed to death by parent
A female teacher has been stabbed to death in front of pupils in southern France. The 34 year old was stabbed at a primary school in the town of Albi near Toulouse. The suspect is the mother of one of the students, and has been arrested. President Francois Hollande has sent the Education Minister to the school to take charge of the government response. The incident comes amid concerns in France over assaults by parents on teachers - a study released in April said nearly half of primary school principals had been verbally or physically abused by parents.
