Further Heavy Rain Expected Today With A Risk of Localised Flooding and Hazardous Travel

Further heavy rain is expected today despite most of the severe weather warning’s being lifted earlier than planned.

Met Éireann says persistent rainfall on already saturated ground, combined with high river levels and high tides, could lead to localised and river flooding, along with difficult travel conditions.

People are being urged to take care, particularly in low-lying areas and on flooded roads.
