Gardai in wexford warn the public about callers to their door
Gardaí are advising the public not to answer the door to anyone they don't know and who do not show valid identification. It follows a number of incidents in the Wexford Town area recently. In Piercestown last Wednesday money was stolen from an elderly man after he took out his wallet during a call to his door by a man who asked if he had lost money outside his home. A similar incident happened on Carrigeen street yesterday. The man is believed to be 5 foot 8 in height, of strong build, in his mid to late 20s. Anyone who may have any information is asked to contact the Gardaí who are also advising the public not to leave their cars unlocked following a number of thefts on vehicles which were left open.
