Gardaí are investigating a violent brawl that broke out following the Wexford Senior Football Championship final on Sunday, November 2, which the Independent reports left a teenage boy with facial injuries. Castletown secured their 14th title with a 0-14 to 1-7 win over Shelmaliers at Chadwicks Wexford Park, but the celebrations were marred by clashes between players, mentors and fans who had rushed onto the pitch. An Coiste Bainistí of CLG Loch Garman met yesterday and agreed that the incident was "highly regrettable" and warranted a full investigation. Chairman John Kenny confirmed that a formal investigation is underway by the county's Disciplinary Committee and CLG Loch Garman will cooperate fully with Gardaí and other authorities involved.
