Government announces one off electricity subsidy scheme

A government payment to all households to reduce the cost of energy bills has been described as 'meagre' and 'insulting' by the opposition.

Cabinet signed off on a payment worth 113 euro and 50 cent which will likely apply to electricity bills in March. It's a measure aimed at easing the rising cost of fuel.
