Gsoc investigating discovery of body in kerry
The discovery of a body in County Kerry has been referred to the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission. The man in his early 40s was found dead at around 7am in the vicinity of Kerry General Hospital. According to gardaí, the man had been arrested for public order offences yesterday evening near his home in Killarney and brought to Killarney Garda Station. Shortly after he arrived, he became ill and was taken by ambulance to Kerry General Hospital. His body was discovered this morning by a member of the public in a car wash next to a shop near the hospital. It's understood that the man was no longer under the custody of gardaí when his death occured. The body has since been removed from the scene to Kerry General Hospital. GSOC are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man this morning, to contact them on 1890 600 800.
