Gsoc investigation launched following clare chase
GSOC has launched an investigation in Co Clare after three men were seriously injured after being hit by a car that was being pursued by Gardaí. It happened in the village of Parteen at about 5 o'clock yesterday evening. The vehicle pursued by Gardaí struck a parked car, injuring three pedestrians - who were transferred to hospital. One of them had to have his leg amputated after being crushed by the car. The two men who were being chased fled the scene and gardai carried out a search of the area. One man was later arrested and he is being questioned at Mayorstone Park Garda station. The Garda Ombudsman is calling for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
