Talks between the Minister for Health, Simon Harris, and Junior Minister John Halligan continued last night.
Minister Halligan has said he may have no option but to resign from government over the future of cardiac care services in his Waterford constituency. It's after an independent review recommended that the cardiac unit at Waterford University Hospital be downgraded, rather than expanded. However other members of the Independent Alliance have suggested some accommodation can be reached.
