Farmers in the South East are being urged to dispose of their waste responsibly at a special event next month.
The Departments of Agriculture and the Environment have teamed up to host a Farm Hazardous Waste Collection service at Gowran Park, Kilkenny on the 14th of October.
It's one of six locations chosen across the country with further events in Kildare and Cork next month.
The collections follow the successful farm hazardous waste collection days which took place in 2024 and 2025.
This is an opportunity to get rid of pesticides, veterinary medicines, oil drums and paint cans in a safe manner.
The collection will be organised by waste company Enva and farmers will have to pay a fee directly to the waste management company for the service.
