Health minister wants to scrap the hse

The Health Minister has said it's his intention to scrap the HSE as part of a plan for the future of Ireland's healthcare.

Simon Harris has been outlining an 8 point plan to an Oireachtas Committee, which is largely based on the development of Hospital Groups and Community Health Organisations. He says a big change is needed to secure the future of good quality healthcare. Minister Simon Harris believes looking at the HSE's future is a key part of that.
