Heatlh system criticised over scoliosis waiting lists
A County Wexford mother says her daughter's been failed by the health system. Janet Conroy's daughter Alanna suffers from a severe form of scoliosis and is facing up to a year on a waiting list just to see a consultant after already waiting 6 months. It's the second such case highlighted on South East Radio's Morning Mix in just a week. Janet says her daughter has already deterioated significanlty in the past six months and urgently requires surgery before she's left in a wheelchair. She says she'll continue fighting for her daughter whether that means going abroad to seek the treatment she needs.
