Hopes high of no flood imminent in enniscorthy
There are high hopes that the River Slaney - which has been swollen by the recent run of heavy rain - won't flood in Enniscorthy despite earlier concerns. However, a close watch is being kept on the fast-flowing river for the time being, although the danger of it flooding is receding; But authorities are now confident that the river won't breach it's banks in the town, although the level is very high and the river is fast-flowing. And with a better forecast over the next few days the danger should recede even more as rainfall levels dip.
