Increase in residential construction projects in co. wexford
The commencement of residential construction projects in County Wexford has seen a 250 per cent increase. The figures for the first two months of 2014 show a significant jump when compared to the same period last year. The data is contained in the National Housing Construction Index. Pent up demand in the sector, an increase in confidence to start new projects and a rush to lodge commencement notices before the 1st of March when new building regulations come into force have been attributed to the increase. There is also an increase in the number of planning applications in County Wexford - up by 23 per cent.
