Increasing numbers effected by lung cancer

1,800 people die from lung cancer every year in Ireland.

The Irish Cancer Society says the lack of a screening programme is allowing the disease to go undetected until its at a late stage. They're calling on the Government to look at introducing a screening programme as well as rolling out a new awareness campaign.
