Investigations are continuing after an attempted armed robbery in gorey
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to an attempted armed robbery in Gorey. Two men entered the Permanent TSB in the town with what's believed to be a handgun at lunchtime yesterday. They fled the scene empty handed after the panic alarm was activated. Gardai persued their black Fiat Punto - driven by a third raider along the Arklow Road. Two of the men in their 20s were caught by Gardai as they tried to hijack another car at Kilmurry Cross - they're being held at Enniscorthy and Gorey Garda Stations. A search is continuing for a third man.
