A new survey shows Irish people are most optimistic about the future of the EU.
According to the latest Eurobarometer poll, optimism about the future of the EU is highest in Ireland at 77 per-cent. This compares to an EU average of 50 per-cent with Greece at 30 per-cent. The survey also shows that 69 per-cent of Irish people feel that things are going in the right direction here.
