Kilmore fishermen to meet minister next month
A group of Kilmore Quay fishermen are heading for Dublin next month to meet the Marine Minister in a bid to get help to return to the sea. They had been due to meet with the Minister this week but it was postponed due to Dail activity. The fishermen say that due to the storms at the beginning of the year many fishermen lost a lot of vital equipment and aren't in a financial position to replace it. As a result, it's claimed that many fshermen, particularly inshore, haven't worked since.
