Kilmore quay one of the busiest lifeboat stations in the country
The good summer weather last year resulted in an increase in the number of people rescued by Lifeboats. The 45 stations across Ireland collectively dealt with over 1,000 call outs in 2014, with over 1,400 people brought to safety. Kilmore Quay lifeboat launched 24 times and rescued 63 people making it one of the busiest lifeboat stations in the country. Rosslare Harbour lifeboat rescued 15 people, Fethard Lifeboat launched ten times while Courtown and Wexford Town were launched six times each.
