Limerick man's wife and father-in-law charged with his murder
The American wife of Limerick man Jason Corbett and her father are to go on trial for his murder. 31-year-old Molly Martens and 65-year-old Thomas Martens, have each been charged with second degree murder and voluntary manslaughter. The 39-year-old Limerick man died after an alleged dispute at his home in North Carolina last August. Darrick Ignasiak is a reporter for the DispatchNewspaper in North Carolina. He says it could be some time yet before the trial gets started. "It is very early on, with indictments coming down today" he said. "In these matters, as I have covered them in the past years, it could be a year or more before it went to trial, or even resulted in a plea negotiation" he added.
