Homes and businesses across Wexford Town and surrounding areas are facing disruption to their water supplies following a significant burst on the main serving the town.
Uisce Éireann crews are continuing repair works which are currently scheduled to remain underway until approximately 9pm today (Monday September 7th)
The burst has affected water levels in the reservoir supplying Wexford Town resulting in some customers losing their supply while others may experience significantly reduced water pressure.
Uisce Éireann says every effort is being made to repair the burst and return supplies as quickly as possible.
However, customers are being advised that even when repair works are completed, it can take a further three to four hours for the water network to refill and normal pressure to return.
That means some homes and businesses could continue to experience disruption until late tonight or into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Customers can check for further updates through Uisce Éireann's supply and service updates using reference number WEX00120028.
