Man appears in court over wexford assault
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Wexford's main street yesterday. A 38 year-old man was punched and kicked in the head on South Main street at around 6pm in what's believed to be an unprovoked attack. He was rushed to Wexford General Hospital where he's said to be in a stable condition. A 24 year-old man was arrested at the scene and appeared before Gorey District Court today. He was released on bail and will appear again in court next week. A large group of people witnessed the attack and Gardaí are appealing for them to contact them on 053 916 5200. A motive for the crime has yet to be established.
