Man arrested after ballycarney find has detention period extended

The man detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station in connection with a drugs and gun components find in the Ballycarney area on Wednesday night has had his period of detention extended.

The 38 year old man was taken into custody following the discovery of €5,000 worth of cannabis resin and parts of a gun were found during a search. Gardai now have an extra 24 hour period to question the man about the find.
