A man has been arrested by Gardai investigating a public order incident in Wexford Town on Monday.
Officers responded to reports of a suspected brawl on South Main Street just after 12pm.
Alleged videos of the incident online show children nearby while others are forced to walk around the scene.
A man in his 40s was later arrested by Gardai in connection with the incident.
He has been charged and is due to appear before Wexford District Court at a later date.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
It's the latest in a long line of anti social behaviour issues affecting the town with many residents and business groups calling for action.
A group representing shop owners in Wexford Town says the town needs an increased Garda presence during weekend nights.
The Wexford Retail Crime Prevention Forum says businesses are being affected by the rise of anti social behaviour in the area.
The group says unsupervised groups of young people regularly engage in vocal intimidation, property damage and challenging passers-by.
Meanwhile, a Labour TD says a mass gathering of representative groups needs to be held in the town to discuss the issues.
George Lawlor says a new approach is needed to tackle the problems which are on the rise in the area.
