A man in his 40s has been charged in connection with a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N25 at Ballykelly, Drinagh, Co. Wexford, in the early hours of Sunday, 5th October 2025. The incident, which involved a passenger van and a jeep, tragically resulted in the death of a male van driver in his 60s. Gardaí confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed for a post-mortem examination. A passenger in one of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Wexford General Hospital. The man arrested at the scene is scheduled to appear before Wexford District Court this morning, Monday, 6th October 2025, at 10:30 am.
