A Waterford County Councillor says tackling gangland crime must be extended beyond Dublin. Sinn Fein Councillor John Hearne claims Waterford City is being ravaged by organised crime. He made his comments following an assault on a man in his 20's in the city, who may loose 3 fingers as a result of the injuries he sustained. Mr. Hearne says he has personally experienced intimidation and threats on his life for speaking out against the problem.
