Man who died in turkey had wexford links
The Irish man who died in Turkey on Friday after a reported stabbing incident had close links with Wexford. 64 year old John Edward Donnelly from Dublin is reported to have been found with a number of stab wounds at an apartment in the tourist resort of Bodrum on Friday afternoon. For many years Mr.Donnelly was involved with the Wexford Light Opera Society as a director, and the group has posted a tribute to him on its Facebook page. The post says the society's members are deeply saddened and utterly heartbroken at his death. It goes on describe him as having been a "treasure" for Wexford and all opera societies he worked with.
