Searches targeting an organised criminal gang are underway in County Wexford. Over 80 Gardaí, members of the Criminal Assets Bureau, Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Garda air support are involved. Similiar searches are also taking place in Waterford. The intelligence led operation has nine co-ordinated searches underway. The Garda special forces are targeting their investigations on an Organised Criminal Gang operating nationally and in the South Eastern Region. The searches are not understood to be linked to recent gangland killings in Dublin.
